Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambu has rubbished claims that Wiper leader and former vice president Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka is the right man to end tribalism in the nation upon election.

According to Mutambu, it is illogical to imagine that Kalonzo, who is also Coalition for Reforms and Democracy co-principal, will end tribalism in the country because he has failed to unite only three governors from his region.

“If he cannot unite the three Kamba governors, how will he unite the nation?” he asked at his office after he issued title deeds to residents of Waita.

Mutambu added that he will rally behind President Uhuru Kenyatta to retain his seat in the next general elections.

“I will contest on the Jubilee ticket and ensure Uhuru secures Ukambani votes. Kalonzo will get nothing. The time has come for us to be free. If he thinks he is next to God when it comes to Kambaland, he should forget it,” he said.

He also said that Kalonzo has not given the people of Ukambani any reason to vote for him despite being in the political arena for over 30 years.

“Kalonzo has nothing to brag about because his house is empty. What he did during the Mashujaa Day celebrations was unwise. The way he addressed the President was uncouth if at all he dreams of becoming President one day,” he said.
