Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua must respect other elected leaders in the county, says Mlolongo MCA Rachael Ndambuki.

Ndambuki said the governor was fond of undermining leaders from the region opposed to his Maendeleo Chap Chap ideology.

She said Mutua had decided to work with his point men in wards whose MCAs are strong supporters and loyalists of Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

Ndambuki said the governor undermines such MCAs thereby making their wards starve due to bias funding of development projects by the county government.

“On Tuesday Mutua came to my ward without informing me, he ignored me when I joined him in Mlolongo town where he made a stop over to address the public,” said Ndambuki.

She addressed the press in Athi River town on Friday.

Ndambuki said the governor refused to give her microphone to speak to her electorates in her own ward where she is popular.

“I feel bitter for not speaking to my people during the governor’s visit to my ward, how can Mutua feel if President Uhuru Kenyatta comes to Machakos County but denies him opportunity to address the public. Ignores him as the governor,” said Ndambuki.

She said Mutua’s administration oppress leaders who authoritatively speak out for their electorates.

Ndambuki said she had suffered a lot from the dictatorial leadership of the county executive.

She said she had been evicted from various committees at the Machakos County Assembly for being steadfast in fighting graft in the government.

“The assembly enjoys tyranny of numbers among MCAs in support of the executive, I was evicted from Budget and Appropriation, Youth and Sports Committees when I fell out with Mutua,” said Ndambuki.

Ndambuki said she is currently a member of Legal Committee where she has got no responsibility allowance while others enjoy more than one of such allowances for being sycophants to the county chief.

“MCAs opposed to Maendeleo Chap Chap are frustrated and evicted from committees,” said Ndambuki.
